Vitoria is located in the green North of Spain. It is the capital of the Basque Country and it offers a wide variety of pleasant walks through its historical old city centre, parks and other green places in the surrounding area.

In summer Basque people celebrate the traditional "fiestas" of their towns and villages: the world famous Fiesta of "Sanfermines" in July in Pamplona and the local "Fiestas" of Vitoria, Bilbao and San Sebastian in August. In September you can enjoy the "Vintage Fiesta in the wine region "La Rioja".
